Sheldon Krantz, a retired DLA Piper partner, who now serves as executive director of the DC Affordable Law Firm, as well as co-director of the Justice Lab and adjunct professor at Georgetown Law Center. Sheldon founded DLA Piper’s global pro bono nonprofit affiliate, New Perimeter. He has held several positions in government and legal education, upholding the profession’s core values through public service, pro bono efforts, and advocacy for civil liberties. Sheldon also has served on the DC Access to Justice Commission since 2011.

Tammy Seltzer
, who leads the DC Jail & Prison Advocacy Project (JPAP) at University Legal Services. JPAP assists DC residents with mental illness in the DC Jail or Federal Bureau of Prisons system with legal advocacy to help prepare them for their re-entry back into the community. Tammy has spent her 20-year career defending the civil rights of people with mental illness in various arenas.

Thomas S. Williamson Jr.
of Covington & Burling LLP for his many contributions to the administration of and access to justice in DC. Throughout his career, Tom has made pro bono and access to justice a priority. He practiced at Neighborhood Legal Services Program as a loaned associate in his second year at Covington. Tom has served on the DC Bar’s Board of Governors and as president of the DC Bar in 2012-2013. He has served on many nonprofit boards, including the DC Bar Foundation and the Washington Lawyers’ Committee. Tom also has served on the DC Access to Justice Commission since 2011.
