Sign up to volunteer for the School Jury Education Project in December!

For over 25 years, CCE, in partnership with Street Law at Georgetown University, has facilitated a unique and powerful program where judges and attorneys can connect with youth across the city as part of our School Jury Education Program. This program offers students insights into the importance of civic engagement, practical deliberation skill-building, and opportunities to find mentors and establish long-term relationships. Students reported finding the information “enlightening,” “interesting” and liked “meeting and questioning the facilitators” the most! 

‍This year's SJEP classes will take place from Monday, December 7 through Friday, December 18, 2026. Volunteering includes reviewing the curriculum materials provided, attending an online (Zoom) orientation session scheduled for Wednesday, December 2 at 12:00 pm and joining at least one class to lead the program.

We invite you to sign up for as many class sessions as you are available. Registration closes on Friday, October 23.
