CCE and partners to host Mayoral and Congressional Candidate Forums

On April 28 and April 30 CCE and our partner organizations will be hosting Mayoral and Congressional Candidate Forums on The Future of Safety & Justice in D.C.

This year, the District is preparing for the most significant turnover in elected leadership in this century: there will be a new Mayor, Delegate to the U.S. Congress, and at least three new members of the D.C. Council. There is much at stake, particularly related to our community’s legal and justice systems and public safety. Our educational public forums will give District residents the opportunity to hear candidates’ positions on and plans for safety and justice, including all aspects of our adult criminal and youth justice systems, as well as the courts, civil access to justice, administrative law, and other issues that intersect with D.C.’s legal system.
Members of the public can register now. When you sign up, you can also suggest questions you would like the moderators to ask the candidates.
