CCE testified before the Committee on the Judiciary and Public Safety of the Council of the District of Columbia at the Performance Oversight Hearing for the Deputy Mayor for Public Safety and Justice.

CCE and Theordore Whitehouse, CCE Board Member and Chair of the Reentry Subcommittee, testified before the Committee on Facilities and Procurement of the Council of the District of Columbia at the Performance Oversight Hearing for the Mayor's Office on Returning Citizen Affairs.

 CCE coordinated a sign-on letter urging the Court to take into account whether paroling patterns not consistent with the 1987 regulations and teh 1991 policy statement would in practice be lengthening the sentence of incarceration for individuals beyond what those in the courtroom or on the Parole Board expected or intended them to serve under proper application of those guidelines.
