On February 10, 2022, CCE's Senior Policy Counsel Danielle Burs testified before the Government Operations and Facilities of the Council of the District of Columbia at the Performance Oversight Hearing for the Office of Administrative Hearings. 

On January 24, 2022, CCE's Deputy Director Emily Tatro testified before the Committee on Health of the Council of the District of Columbia at the Performance Oversight Hearing for the D.C. Department of Behavioral Health. 

On January 20, 2022, CCE's Policy & Communications Manager Casey Anderson testified before the Committee on the Judiciary and Public Safety of the Council of the District of Columbia at the Performance Oversight Hearing for the Deputy Mayor for Public Safety & Justice.

On November 10, 2021 CCE's Deputy Director Emily Tatro testified before the Committee of the Judiciary & Public Safety of the Council of the District of Columbia at the Public Oversight Roundtable on the Conditions of Confinement at the D.C. Jail. CCE's testimony detailed recommendations made by the District Task Force on Jails & Justice aimed at reducing the D.C. Department of Corrections Population. 

CCE's Communications Manager Casey Anderson testified before the Committee on the Judiciary & Public Safety of the Council of the District of Columbia in support of B24-416, the Revised Criminal Code Act of 2021.

On October 21, 2021 CCE's Deputy Director Emily Tatro testified before teh Committee on the Judiciary & Public Safety and the Committee of the Whole of the Council of the District of Columbia regarding B24-0356, "Strengthening Oversight and Accountability of Police Amendment Act of 2021."

On October 15, 2021, CCE submitted a statement to the Council of the District of Columbia in support of Bill 24-0338, the “Redefinition of Child Amendment Act of 2021.”

On June 21, 2021, CCE submitted a statement to the Committee on Government Operations and Facilities of the Council of the District of Columbia for the Budget Oversight Hearing for the Office of Human Rights. 

On June 14, 2021, CCE's Policy Counsel Sosseh Prom testified before the Council of the District of Columbia at the Budget Oversight Hearing for the Office of Administrative Hearings. 

On June 11, 2021, CCE's Communications Manager Casey Anderson testified before Council of the District of Columbia at the Budget Oversight Hearing for the Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants.
