On May 6, 2021, CCE Board leader Jon Jeffress and CCE staff Casey Anderson testified before the Committee on the Judiciary and Public Safety of the Council of the District of Columbia at the Public Oversight Roundtable on Local Control of Parole in the District of Columbia.

In April, CCE, Bread for the City, the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center, Legal Counsel for the Elderly, Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia, Neighborhood Legal Services Program, Washington Council of Lawyers, and Rising for Justice sent comments on the initial filing fee for landlord-tenant action.
