Welcome to Renee Smith!

Please join us in welcoming CCE's newest staff member, Renee Smith. Renee is CCE's Development Director and will be responsible for developing and implementing CCE's annual fundraising goals and strategies. She brings with her a wealth of non-profit development experience.

Prior to joining CCE, Renee worked in a development capacity for the Washington Animal Rescue League, including its popular "Rescue Me Gala." In her previous capacity with the YWCA of the National Capital Area, she worked on "issue education activities," such as the "Week Without Violence" and "Stand Against Racism."

Renee holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University and a Master’s Degree in the field of Social Work from the University of Michigan.  She is an active member of the Capitol Hill community serving as the chair of the Moms on the Hill Family Fest and a committee member for the Taste of the Hill Gala.

Renee is married to Jonathan and is the proud mother of Eli and Ruby, ages 5 and 22 months.
