Join the Council

The
Council for Court Excellence (CCE) welcomes broad support in our work
to improve the administration of justice. By supporting CCE, you join
hands with other concerned citizens, judges, lawyers, and business leaders
to help promote practical court improvements, increase access to justice,
and educate the public about the legal system.
Additionally,
the Council offers board member benefits including networking events,
visibility, and engaging opportunities to make a difference through community
service.
We
hope that after reviewing the Council's projects and activities described
throughout this web site you will agree to support our work either through
financial contributions, planned giving, or by joining our board of directors
and supporting or participating in the ongoing court improvement programs
of the organization. Please contact Jeff
Capley, to learn more.
Benefits
Council
for Court Excellence supporters take pride in their involvement with a
civic organization which serves as an independent monitor of the judicial
branch of government and the justice system. Since 1982 the Council has
worked tirelessly to improve the justice system in the Washington, DC
area and in the nation. Among the important benefits of serving on CCE's
board are the following:
- Significant
networking opportunities with leaders and members of the judicial, business,
legal and civic communities;
- Improved
corporate and firm image through association with a constructive nonpartisan
civic organization;
- Advance
notice of special events and invitations to exclusive/limited seating
functions of the Council;
- Periodic
Court Excellence newsletter;
- Monthly
issues of Sidebar, our board-only newsletter;
- Advance
copies of Council for Court Excellence project reports and publications;
- Participation
in the Council through committee service;
- Opportunities
to pool resources and, through committee participation, identify and
work on substantive court reform initiatives;
- Opportunities
to attend briefings and meetings with justice system officials and leading
thinkers on topics of interest and concern to the legal, judicial and
civic communities.
Responsibilities
Board
members must be in compliance with the Council for Court Excellence Board
of Directors Annual Dues Policy. For
organizational board members, annual board dues are graduated based on
firm or business size.
Additionally,
board members are encouraged to bring justice system needs to the Council's
attention and to become actively engaged in Council programs where time
and interest coincide. Please contact us to discuss opportunities for
involvement.
